If you want to submit your website to Google search engine, you need to create an account on search engine console. Then you have to add your website to Google webmaster.
Google Webmaster and Google Search console both are same, so don’t get confused between both. Now I am going to tell you a few simple steps to submit your website to Google Search Engine.
- Firstly, Login to your Gmail account and visit the page Google Search Console.
- Next, select website from drop-down menu, enter you website URL Address and click on the ADD A PROPERTY
- Once you added the property, you have to verify your website. On next screen, you will see two options: Recommended Method and Alternate Method.
If you have already purchased a domain name, it will show you the domain name provider then you have to log in to your cPanel to verify it else I will suggest you choose the alternate method to verify your website.
- In the alternate method, you will see various options to verify to the website to search console.

HTML file upload
Here you will see a link to download an HTML file. Click on that link, once the file is downloaded; upload that to your website. Then come back here and confirm your uploading by clicking on the given confirmation link. After that click on the verify button. Your website will get verified.

HTML Tag
In this method, you will get a Meta tag that you have to add in the head section of your website homepage. If you get any confusion regarding adding this tag to your site, you can click on the link ‘Show me an example” and see where you have to add the file. Once you added this tag to the head section of your website homepage, click on the verify button to complete this Acton.

Google Analytics
If you use Google Analytics to track your website data, traffic and performance then you can use your Analytics tracking code to verify your website. You just need to add your Analytics tracking code into the <head> section of your page. Additionally, you have to make sure you have the edit permission for Analytics web property. Once you added the tracking code to <head> section, click on the verify button to complete verification.

Google Tag Manager
If you want to verify your website with Google Tag Manager, you need a Google Tag Manager account. Also, you must be using container script. Make sure you have “manage” permission for the manager container. When everything is done, click on the verify button.
Once, your site gets verified, click on the Home button of Search Console Dashboard. You will see your website name there. It means you have successfully submitted your website to Google Search Engine.
In this way, you can successfully submit your website to Google search engine.

Once you submit your website to Google search engine, next step to increase your page ranking and site visibility is adding your sitemap to Google search console.
